First Steps To Take When Your Garage Door Sensor Acts Up
The main cause of garage door sensor failure, and may be the issue with yours, is the sensor's wiring. This is caused by many factors few of them being due to a misconnection or poorly connected wiring. WHAT TO DO The first logical step you may undertake as an individual is to inspect your garage door sensors yourself. First you have to check if any debris, leaves, dust or misplaced objects on the sensors may be the issue by cleaning each sensor with a clean rag and if the door still does not close then the next procedure is adjusting the sensors. Loosen the nuts in the sensors that hold it together, then adjust the position of the sensors by facing them in a different direction by hand until an LED indicator turns on which shows that the circuit is now complete.
